Project Overview
The Challenge
The client, operating in the Saudi market, required a comprehensive Business Intelligence (BI) solution that could seamlessly integrate with their existing systems and provide robust data visualization capabilities. However, a critical requirement was the ability to support full localization and right-to-left (RTL) text rendering, ensuring that the BI solution could cater to the Arabic language and cultural preferences of their target audience.
Task and Approach
Our team at DKUBEX was tasked with researching and evaluating the best free and open-source BI dashboard solutions available on the internet. The primary objective was to identify a platform that not only met the client's technical requirements but also offered comprehensive localization and RTL support.
With a tight one-week deadline, we embarked on an extensive exploration journey, downloading and testing various open-source BI tools. Our team meticulously assessed each solution's localization capabilities, RTL rendering, ease of integration, and overall functionality.

After a thorough evaluation process, we identified Qlik as the most suitable BI solution for the client's needs. Qlik not only met the localization and RTL requirements but also offered advanced data visualization and analytics capabilities, seamless integration with existing systems, and a user-friendly interface.
To showcase the project's viability, we successfully embedded a Superset dashboard into a ReactJS application, demonstrating the ability to integrate the BI solution with the client's existing tech stack. Additionally, we created a new dashboard with a sample chart, further showcasing the platform's versatility and customization options.
Going the extra mile, we implemented style modifications within the ReactJS application, allowing for customization of the embedded Superset widget's appearance, such as background color and font styles. Furthermore, we demonstrated the ability to change locales (language) within the embedded Superset widget, ensuring a seamless and localized experience for the client's end-users.
Outcome and Impact
Our client was highly impressed with our dedication, technical expertise, and the thorough research conducted to identify the best-fit BI solution. By selecting Qlik, the client gained a powerful and fully localized BI platform that not only met their immediate requirements but also provided a scalable foundation for future data-driven decision-making.
